What is a Salary Advance?

A Salary Advance, also known as “Early-wage access” or “on-demand pay” gives eligible partner employees access to their earned salary ahead of payday.

 

It is not a loan - which means, no credit checks and zero interest. Repayments are deducted on month-end.

How does it work?

Your employer nominates eligible members of staff for a salary advance. Employees will be invited to apply for an Advance on their wages.

My employer isn't on Advance Pay, how do I apply?

If you think your company will benefit from early-wage access or any other Advance Pay tools, please ask your HR manager to contact us on info@advpay.co.za or 076 117 8271.

How much does it cost?

A R1,000 Advance costs a once-off transaction fee of R100 per advance.  We only charge R100 transaction fee per R1,000 advance, in contrast to alternative financial providers who might charge 20 - 45% interest on a monthly basis.

What is the interest?

Zero interest. We only charge a once-off transaction fee of R100, payable by the individual or covered by the employer. That equates to only 10%, in contrast to alternative financial providers who charge 20 - 45% interest on a monthly basis.

How long will it take to get the money?

Payout as Cash or Vouchers can take up to 24 hours.

How do I pay back the advance?

Repayments are deducted via payroll on month-end.
